Day Trip to Philae and Kalabsha Temples and Nubian Museum

Your Egyptologist guide will take you from a Nile cruise or Aswan hotel to the Kalabsha Temple. During the construction of the High Dam between 1960 and 1970, a number of ancient ruins were moved to an island near Aswan. The most notable structure is the Kalabsha Temple, which was initially located 50 kilometers south of Aswan and dedicated to the Nubian god Mendulis. It was erected on the site of an ancient temple around 30 BC during the early Roman Empire. After that, go to the island of Philae to see the most magnificent temples dedicated to the goddess Isis. It is a temple complex built from the time of the pharaohs until the time of the Romans. After viewing the temple by motor boat, have lunch at a local restaurant. Visit the Nubian Museum, which houses an exhibition of the history, art, and culture of the Nubian civilization. The museum, founded in 1997 in cooperation with UNESCO, serves as a memorial to what was lost under Lake Nasser. Handicrafts are displayed in the museum. Prehistoric events began in the kingdoms of Kush and Meroe. Following the completion of the Aswan High Dam, displays of Coptic and Islamic art have led to the description of UNESCO's main endeavor to move the most important ancient structures of Nubia away from the high waters of Lake Nasser. You will then be returned to your hotel in Aswan.
