Dahshur’s twisted pyramid.
The Bent Pyramid may be seen at Dahshur Royal Necropolis, which is located about 40 kilometers north of Cairo.
Around 2600 B.C., it was constructed during the reign of Sneferu, Pharaoh of the Old Kingdom. It is the structure with the most age.
The second pyramid of Sneferu has a design that is characteristic of pyramids constructed in ancient Egypt. It has been made easier.
Location:
The Bent Pyramid and Dahshur may be reached by car in half an hour from the heart of Cairo. It takes half an hour to get there from the Three Pyramids of Giza.
The Christmas season will be more enjoyable if you spend it in more rural or smaller places.
History:
The Ancient Kingdom Bent Pyramid is located in Dahshur Necropolis and was constructed by Pharaoh Snefru. The pyramid that holds Snofru’s burial site is easily identifiable due to the steep top that it has. The name of this pyramid comes from the fact that its slope is steeper than that of either the Red Pyramid or the Giza Pyramid for three-quarters of its height. The slopes of the Red Pyramid and the Giza Pyramid are more gentle.
Nobody understood where the concept of the Pyramid came from or why Snofru decided to construct the two structures so close to one another.
There are several hypotheses that attempt to explain how the Bent Pyramid came to be, but the one that has garnered the most support is the theory that the pyramid’s initial design had to be altered because people were concerned about its capacity to remain standing. The axiom states that each Pharaoh was only permitted to have one Ka temple at their disposal.
The Bent Pyramid is one of a kind in still another respect:
Both the west and the north are visible from the entrances.
It is possible that Hetepheres, Snofru’s wife, built a smaller version of the Queen’s Pyramid to the south.
Because Snofru’s Dahshur pyramids were looted before she arrived, she was only able to spend a short amount of time there.
Her sarcophagus was placed at Giza next to the Great Pyramid that her son Cheops had built. This ensured that it was protected.
In accordance with the statement provided by the museum, guests will not be able to enter the Bent Pyramid for an indefinite amount of time.
People believed that a second, more sturdy pyramid had been erected after the original design of the Bent Pyramid had been altered to ensure Snofru’s afterlife because they were concerned about the Bent Pyramid’s stability. According to the axiom, each of the Pharaoh’s gods had their own separate temple.
In contrast to the other pyramids, Bent Pyramid has not one but two entrances. This particular pyramid may be accessed from both the west and the north through separate openings.
It is a subordinate pyramid to the main pyramid that Hetepheres built, and it was constructed by Snofru’s wife.
After robbers broke through both Snofru’s pyramid at Dahshur and her son’s pyramid at Dahshur, her sarcophagus was relocated to Giza and concealed close to the Great Pyramid of Cheops.
According to the current plans, the Bent Pyramid will not be open to the general public for quite some time.
